Uh… guys? Maybe the horribleness was just hyped up here on Tumblr, but that was pretty freaking great. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed an ep that much since the first or second episode of Season 2. There was just a heightened sense of urgency that kept my heart pumping.
Sure, I rolled my eyes during the Ichatrina scenes, but damn… Ichabbie continues to be on point, and the audience responded with glee. As an Ichabbie shipper, all of the small moments in the ep made it all worth it for me. Truth be told, even if Ichatrina made out 10 times in one episode, an Ichabbie fistbump will still overshadow all that.
Other non-spoilery things: MAAAAANNNN ABBIE IS JUST THE BEST I LOVE HER SO MUCH SHE WAS SO GOOD IN THIS EP!!!! The writer of the ep even said that Abbie really is the voice of the audience and since the woman is so obviously over the Crane Family Drama, I tend to agree.
And finally, one of the execs on the panel said that the show really IS all about Abbie and Crane and will continue to be about Abbie and Crane. So no worries, shippers. This is all just part of the journey.
(Sidenote: I don’t ask for much as far as Ichabbie scenes go, but there were a couple of squee-worthy moments that are still on my mind even after watching all that.) *happy sigh*
